The VP of Marketing/ CMO will have the opportunity to accelerate the rate of acquisition and build the Borrowell brand into a household name for meeting financial needs of members from all backgrounds. In this role, you will have the opportunity to more than double the current marketing team of 7 to rapidly scale acquisition, increase brand awareness, and lay the foundation for Borrowell’s transition from a single product to multi-product marketing organization.
You will lead key results in Acquisition Marketing, Product Marketing, Brand Management, Engagement and Retention strategies, as well as Communications and Public Relations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing execution, leadership and management, a quantitative perspective and a passion for helping people achieve their financial goals
In this role you will...
Define objectives and strategy for Borrowell’s marketing team in partnership with other senior leaders of the organization
Lead and empower a collaborative team of cross-functional marketers, driving the vision and overseeing efforts across these functions
Drive implementation and execution of marketing strategies and tactics to achieve key results as set on a quarterly and annual basis
Own messaging in partnership with Product and Sales to establish market positioning while staying ahead of market trends and community needs
Provide ongoing tracking, measurement, KPI, and ROI analysis for marketing initiatives and campaigns to provide clear, actionable insights

10+ years of experience in technology, financial services, or fintech companies
5+ years focused on a leadership or management role in a Marketing function
Demonstrated track record of delivering on multi-channel growth metrics, such as web traffic, leads, client conversions, and revenue generation
Experience growing and leveraging a passionate community of early adopters for user acquisition and brand development
Outstanding written and oral communication skills, a team-player mentality and the ability to execute and thrive in a fast-paced environment and startup culture
